Running to Lose Weight

The fastest way to lose weight and get in shape is to run. Running, coupled with a healthy diet can help you lose the fat quickly. Running burns more calories than most sports. Do it daily and you will see the pounds drop off over the weeks. To run might seem daunting. Especially if you are a couch potato. Go easy on yourself. Start off by walking every day for 30 minutes. Maybe wake up an hour earlier and go for a walks. Walk faster each day. Then jog at a comfortable pace once you are used to walking. Slowly increase your speed until you can go for a daily run for at least 30 minutes each day. But do take a day off each day for your body to recover. The only thing you really need is a pair of running shoes. Then dress appropriately for the weather if you are going to run outdoors. You can run anywhere. In the gym on the tread mill, down the park, down a trail, at a stadium. Whenever you feel like it, you can don on running shoes and go for a run. Do it. You'll be wearing smaller dress sizes pretty soon.
