Acne sucks.
Don't you hate the way that big pimple shows up on the day of a major presentation?
Or when the guy you've fancied for ages asks you out, a huge pimple pops up on your face the day of that big date? Some people are blessed with clear skin most of the time.
Others aren't so lucky, with acne breakouts that affect their social lives. Their self esteem. If you are plagued with acne, there's help. You have to be vigilant about keeping your pores clean. Basically, a pimple starts with a blocked pore. A pore in your skin gets clogged with dead skin cells and oil. Notice how pimples are more common amongst people with oily skin? The clogged pore becomes breeding ground for bacteria. Acne bacteria multiplies and the pore gets infected. Voila! You've got a pimple. The first thing to do to clear your skin is to declog your pores. You can visit the doctor for help with your acne. So many things are available at the doctor's clinic. * Retin A
* Dermabrasion which sandpapers your skin and smoothens acne scars and declogs pores
* Microdermabrasion which blasts away dead skin cells and declogs pores
* Antibiotics that kill bacteria The list goes on. At home, you can keep the pores clear through exfoliation, or better still, use a microdermabrasion kit regularly to keep your pores unclogged.
A dab of tea tree oil every 3 hours on the pimples will kill the acne bacteria and help you control the pimple problem.
As for that big zit on your big day, hold an ice cube against the pimple to bring down the redness. Then paint on an acne medicated concealer to hide the zit. |
